Thank you for your interest in ordering a commission. A custom drawing is a wonderful way to express yourself.
You will be commissioning
a black and white, pen and ink stipple drawing. Stippling is a technique in which tiny dots are placed on the paper one at a time
using a technical pen. The "grays" are created by varying the size and spacing of the dots. This is a labor intensive process. I use
only professional, archival quality materials to create my drawings.
Turn around time depends upon the number of commissions
I have at the time. Usually 4-8 weeks is necessary to complete a drawing. Holiday orders start to arrive in September so more
time may be necessary to complete your drawing.
My commission prices are determined by complexity and size. The largest size
I work with is 20" x 24". Currently all Pet Portraits are done on 11"x 14" archival quality paper.
After I receive your photograph(s)
I will mail you a contract with a quote for the commission and a date of completion. If you agree with the terms you will sign
one copy and return it to me with a non-refundable depoist of 50%, either check or money order. You will keep one copy of the
contract for your records.Once complete I will send you a copy of the finished drawing for your approval. if you are happy with
it you will send a check or money order for the remaining balance. Once cleared i will mail your finished commission. Keep in mind
the medium in which I work is ink and therefore nothing can be "taken away" or "erased". I am confident you will be very happy
with the final commission.
Remember, the better quality the photo that you send the more detail that can be captured in your drawing.
I can not work from photo’s that have a copyright.
Artwork is created on Strathmore
archival quality paper and comes single matted; white with black core.
