Hi, my name is Pam. I'd like to take this time to welcome you to my site and tell you about myself and what I do.
I've
always had a passion for art. I graduated college from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in
Commercial Graphic Art. After college I had various designing jobs before I decided to start freelancing. I did that until my first
son was born. I then took the next 16 years off to raise and enjoy my children. Once they were all in school fulltime I decided to
return to my art.
So that brings me here. All the drawings you see were created with pen and ink using a style called Pointillism
or Stippling. Stippling is a style which uses only dots to create a drawing. Dots vary in size and spacing to create the shadows and
"grays" that you see.
It takes me between 20 -100 hours to create a drawing depending upon the detail involved. The Nubble Lighthouse
drawing took me approximately 70 hours to complete.
I am also available for commission work. A personal pen and ink drawing makes
a great gift. Drawings are created using your photographs as reference so the better quality and clarity of the photo the greater
the detail that can be captured in your drawing. A typical drawing takes between 4 to 8 weeks to complete depending upon my
work load.
